With Halloween just around the corner, it's always fun to get a little festive before all the trick-or-treating begins and hit up some haunted houses and corn mazes! We took the time to list out some of the best ones in southern Ontario for the ultimate spooktacular adventure!

1. Brantwood Farms - Located right in Brantford, Brantwood Farms haunted hay rides and haunted house are always a local favourite. The event runs until October 28th.
2. Fear Farm - Get ready to get spooked, because this one is 100 acres of FEAR. Located in Kitchener, the Fear Farm has haunted hay rides, beer gardens, haunted houses, food trucks, a bakery and more! The Fear Farm is open now until November 2nd.
3. Talbotville Berry Farm - With a creepy wagon ride, and 5 acre corn maze, you'll want to make sure you didn't forget your flashlight! You'll need to be careful to make sure you don't lose your friends here! Located in St. Jacob's, the corn maze is open until October 26th.
4. Norwich Haunted Corn Maze - Norwich welcomes you to their haunted corn maze, where you can enjoy trick-or-treating, and the haunted maze where you can get spooked by many frightening characters. The Haunted corn maze is open until October 26th, and they advise the event is not suitable for young children.
5. Hanes Corn Maze - Hanes Corn Maze is the place to be for night mazes, carved into over 20 acres of 10? tall walls of Cornstalks. Don't forget a flashlight as you navigate the maze as eerie Halloween sounds fills the night. Located in Dundas, the maze is open until Halloween. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
6. Shades of Old Islington - Learn about mourning the dead, 19th century-style (easily the creepiest century in ghostly history) in the Sitting Room of the historic Montgomery's Inn, in Toronto, then explore the Islington Burying Grounds by lantern for more chilling tales. Shades of Old Islington is open until October 27th, and is not recommended for children under 12.
7. Night of Dread - This yearly spectacle at Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto marks the 20th anniversary of this ghoulish masquerade, which includes creepy masks, massive puppets, fire spinners, a waltz of death, and other odd ways of celebrating the dead. Presented by the Clay and Paper theatre, the Night of Dread is only on October 26th.
8. Bingemans Screampark - Located at Bingeman's in Kitchener, the Screampark has loads to offer to get your heart racing. This year they're changing it up, and you can't pick and choose which haunted house you would like to visit. Once you get in line, you have to endure all 9 horrifying test sites. With a medical twist, these haunted houses are not for the feint of heart. The Screampark is open until October 27th.
