Every year, from the months of May-September, CSCS (Candian Sport Compact Series) happens once a month at a few different race tracks around Southern Ontario. The first event of the season was May 26th, at Mosport DDT in Bowmanville. The weather finally held out for that day, as usually us Canadians get unlucky and are still stuck with some snow in May. (It definitely happened 3 years ago and it was awful). The most recent event was June 23rd, at Toronto Motorsports Park, Cayuga.
CSCS has everything, from drag tracing, to show and shine, to time attack and drifting. People come from all across Canada, and sometimes even the US to compete in the CSCS races. This year the competition has gotten a bit more diverse, and you can even see a drifting Corvette! Although you won't see any Hondas drifting, you can see them beating a Lamborghini on the track during Max Attack.
For the show and shine event, there are so many different makes and models to see. It's great seeing how much time and effort owners have put into their car to show it off. Whether they built their car up from scratch, or bought it new and made a few modifications, each car shows a little bit of their owners personalities. And although we mostly spend our time looking at the unique Hondas.. We still appreciated all the other makes that were in the show as well as the modifications done to them!
If you really like car shows, and racing events, CSCS is the perfect event for you as it has everything! The next event is a special two day event on July 20th-21st at Grand Bend Motorplex. Don't miss out!
