Nissan releases first full images of minivan's return to the line-up

Today, Nissan Canada Inc. released the first glimpse of the much anticipated, all-new, next generation 2011 Nissan Quest minivan. Available in Canadian showrooms in early 2011, the new Quest follows Nissan's commitment to bold, segment-leading design and will provide consumers with the size, safety, functionality and comfort that a minivan has to offer - without sacrificing style or driving pleasure.

"The new Nissan Quest will provide those looking for functional family mobility with a stylish, sophisticated choice not often thought of in the minivan segment," said Mark McDade, Director, Marketing, Nissan Canada. "Nissan recognized it was time to provide the market with more than just a 'people-mover' and with the new Quest we've done just that."

The 2011 Nissan Quest minivan is designed to present a new paradigm in family mobility. Along with top levels of quality and reliability, the all-new design is a unique combination of sophistication, security and thoughtful utility for both families and empty-nesters alike.

"This new Quest will be the answer for those who need the space of a traditional minivan, but don't want to feel like they are driving one," said McDade. "The images released today are just a preview of what to expect when Quest arrives next spring."

Nissan Juke Crossover Confirmed for Canadian Market

Mississauga, ON -
Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today confirmed that an all-new small crossover SUV, the Nissan Juke, will join the Nissan lineup in Canada in the fall 2010. The European version of the dramatically styled Juke will be revealed to the media on February 10th and makes its global public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The North American version of Juke is scheduled to debut at the New York Auto Show in late March.

The compact Juke, which was inspired by the Nissan Qazana concept car, was designed and developed to give customers a sporty crossover alternative to traditional small hatchback vehicles. In North America, Juke will join a strong tradition of Nissan crossovers - including the popular Nissan Murano and Rogue - in providing both dynamic style and an exhilarating driving experience.

The new Juke is highlighted by a highly distinctive design, which includes a robust stance, high waistline, complex curves, coupe-like profile and aggressive wheels and tires. The bold interior design features a wide centre console that takes its inspiration from a motorcycle fuel tank.

Key characteristics of the LEAF include:

  1. Zero-emission power train and platform
  2. Affordable pricing
  3. Distinctive design
  4. Real-world range autonomy - 160km (100 miles)
  5. Connected Mobility: Advanced intelligent transportation (IT) system

The "LEAF" name is a significant statement about the car itself.  Just as leaves purify the air in nature, so Nissan LEAF purifies mobility by taking emissions out of the driving experience.  Pricing details will be announced closer to start of sales in late 2010; however, the company expects the car to be competitively priced in the range of a well-equipped C-segment vehicle.  Additionally, Nissan LEAF is expected to qualify for an array of significant local, regional and national tax breaks and incentives in markets around the world.  As an added benefit, because the vehicle has less mechanical complexity than a traditional gasoline-powered car, Nissan LEAF is designed to be friendly to the wallet as well as to the environment.
